12th Annual Institute for Ministry, Arts & Cultivation Conference
Set for October 6 – 8, Nashville, TN
Nashville, TN -- Nashville, better known as Music City USA, will again host The Institute for Ministry, Arts & Cultivation Conference (I.M.A.C.). The 12thAnnual I.M.A.C. Conference will be held October 6-8 at Celebration of Life Church in Hendersonville, TN. This unique conference has emerged as the premiere music and ministry arts education event attracting diverse and enthusiastic attendees from across the county. The I.M.A.C. Conference has successfully gathered leading music industry executives and ministry leaders to give attendees the right tools to be successful Independent Artists, Church/Ministry Leaders, Artist Management Companies, or Marketing & Promotion Companies.
The conference will kick off at 7:30PM on Thursday October 6th, with Quartet Night Live TV taping for The Bobby Jones Gospel Show on The Word Network. The Zamar Fellowship, a showcase of indie artists, will follow on Friday, October 7th at 7:00PM. Artists performing at the Zamar Fellowship include: Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis, Mitchell Ford, Vernon Gordon & Elevated Worship, Beth Williams and Austin Layne.
The 2011 I.M.A.C. Academy will feature an Artist and Repertoire boot camp on Friday and continue with classes on Saturday, October 8thoffering sessions on Vocal Techniques for Singers and Speakers, Marketing and Artist Management. Academy clinicians and educators include: Benita Bellamy (The Bellamy Group), Thomas Rollins (New Day Distribution), Demetrus Alexander-Stewart (PureSpring Gospel), Chris Squire, Telisa Stinson (Specialties Consulting), Big 'Al' Cherry (Recording Artist), C-Micah (Christian Rap Artist).
Also, on Saturday at 7pm, I.M.A.C. Conferences will host The I.M.A.C. Honors with this year’s salute to Jackson, MS songwriter Stan Jones for his service, talents, contributions and accomplishments in gospel music. The I.M.A.C. Conference chose Stan Jones for his recent accolades in songwriting and to that success that anyone can achieve by exhibiting humility, tenacity and integrity. Stan Jones has also become an intricate part of the I.M.A.C. organization and has shared his knowledge and talents with the hundreds of attendees at many of the conference events. Jones has garnered recent success as writer and producer of the soul-stirring worship ballad “All I Need,” recorded by Brian Courtney Wilson. “All I Need” spent 92 weeks on the Billboard Hot Gospel Song Chart breaking the all-time record for the longest-running current single ever in the history of the Billboard Gospel Charts. Jones was recently elevated to president and co-owner of Jackson, Mississippi’s premiere recording studio - Terminal Studios.
